Olfactory Taxonomy System & Weighted Scent Match Engine
Built a custom WooCommerce extension (DevAura Fragrance Engine) storing fragrance note hierarchies and running matching calculations.
- ▸ Olfactory note taxonomies: Registered native
fragrance_note,inspired_by_perfume, anddevaura_samplescustom taxonomies. Built Select2 backend search metaboxes in PHP to map notes on the edit product screen. - ▸ Scent Match Engine (AJAX): Created the matching controller (
ajax_scent_match). Filters database collections by matching primary, secondary, and dealbreaker notes, returning a percentage-based score sorted dynamically. - ▸ High-Performance Translation: Programmed a translation dictionary (
devaura-ar-dictionary.php) running in PHP memory as a static associative array. Resolves note translations in O(1) time complexity, bypassing heavy database-driven translation plugins for maximum speed.
